A huge Thankyou to everyone involved in our event "Run for the Wild" - From Anna Bartlett

After a few last minute nerves, and a few sleepless nights,(organising an event is tough and I'm a amateur!!!) I laughed and cried!! it was so funny!! the
effort that people had gone to, making costumes, eating cake!! and lugging them selves, their udders, shells (Bob) and feathers up Grandma batch, all for selected Wildlife charities, was truly fabulous (the Bayston Hill salad dodgers!! must have been in their element surrounded by all those animals!! yum)

Bluebell Run incorporating Run for the Wild

Church Stretton saw something a little differant today, the Bluebell Run as alway been associated with raising money for charity and doing it's bit for a good cause, but today for just one running it was taken over by a Gorilla, and her sidekicks a bizzy bee and a teddy bear, the gorilla was Anna Barlett who wanted to do something special for endangered spices, so she persueded many of our normally hardened fell runners to go fancy dress, not just that, but bring their familes along to do a fun run/walk too, the main race started at 10am on the standard 5 mile course, wi

Two Day Outdoor First Aid Course - 22nd and 23rd June 2013

Mercia Fell Runners are holding a Weekend Outdoor First Aid Course for Mercia members on 22nd and 23rd June 2013. This is an HSE approved course for outdoor practitioners e.g. Mountain Leaders (Winter Summer). Mountain Bike Leaders, Outdoor/Sports Instructors and most relevently Race Organisers, Marshals and anybody who helps or runs on our hills in the Summer and the Winter.
