Mercia Fell Runners Club

My mate Joe Faulkner (a Mercia member) is the main man organising and fronting a group of well respected athletes and experienced navigational experts who form the team "Nav 4".  They usually work out of the Lake District but, as it happens, they are due to be in the area of Shropshire/Borders on the weekend of 18/19th February.
I have spoken with Joe and he is quite happy to extend his current schedule with a couple of days training on the 18/19th for anyone who wishes to take part, the programme is a one-day session, the first is an introductory day and the second day is an intermediate session, you can follow on from day one to day two if you wish.  The Course will be based from Bridges Youth Hostel and will consist of some classroom element but with the great outdoors being the way forward (AND, you will know which way IS forwards by then!!) There may be a couple of talks in the evening re kit etc in the evening if the Course wants it.
I can wholeheartedly say that these guys are fantastic, it's a friendly/fun group who really know how to put 'nav' over, if you need to learn, don't miss this opprtunity, especially as it is in our own area. The charge for this one-day course is £75, but Mercia and Friends (Newport!) can expect a discount.
