Positive Feedback

For all the helpers, marshals, registration team etc. on Saturday, below are some comments from emails received in the last day or so. Thank you all so very much - no-one person can put this kind of thing on without a huge amount of help...

Hello

Just wanted to say thanks for a great race on Saturday. I travelled down from Yorkshire for the event and had a great day out. It obviously helped that the weather was so lovely but the great organisation also helped to make it a memorable experience. From the helpful marshals to the soup and bread in the NT cafe at the end it was all good.
I know how much effort goes in to making these things work smoothly and just wanted to say that it is appreciated.

best wishes
J.

Hi Jim

Just a quick thank you to you and all of your team for a great event yesterday. Enjoyed the course and it was a real bonus to find that although I was near the tail end of the field there was still water, soup and roll and lots of coffee/tea and cakes on offer when I eventually finished in 360th place.

Cheers
A.

Dear Jim
Many thanks to you and the 'Mercia team' for excellent organisation for yesterday's race, not an easy task with so many runners
Very lucky with the weather, though I would have preferred winter conditions to avoid the cramp that I suffered
Particular thanks for the NT soup and bread and for all the cake- quite a change to be told to eat up all the cake rather than be told 'only one piece' ( I had already eaten a vegan's portion!)
Also thanks for the extensive and generous prize list. Cotswold vouchers are excellent as many of us can get 15% reduction there, whereas PB vouchers are worth 10% less than their face value as cannot get FRA reduction with their vouchers, though I cannot complain as I am lucky to get something when most folk don't get a prize
The only thing missing was to hear Jonathan on the bagpipes!
Yours in sport
